From San José (the capital of Costa Rica) you can Book many different
Eco Tours:
Jardines Lankester
and Orosí
Just 10 minutes by car south of Cartago, directly on the road after
Limón, lies the largest Orchid Garden in the world. In this
garden 800 different Orchids and 2500 subspecies are to be admired.
The months with the largest bloom are March, April and May. The following
travel after Orosí leads through one of the most beautiful valleys

Butterfly
farm - La Guácima
Here one experiences everything about the life of the butterflies.
Over 60 kinds for the export are bred here. Under a net in
the garden hundreds of butterfly flutter and can be photographed.
Volcán Poas
The most visited volcano in Costa Rica is 45 miles (60km)
from San José. An asphalt road leads you close to the krater
at an elevation of 5500 feet (2700 m). After a short walk
along good paths you will reach the crator. At 1 mile (1.5
km) in diameter and 1000 feet (300m) deep, the Poás is one
of the largest craters on earth. On the summit is a vulcanologist
museum which is well worth seeing. The main route by
minibuses starts from San José and takes about 5 hours (USD$34.00).

Volcán
Irazú
The volcano lies in a national park of the same name and has
the highest elevation in the country at 3432 m. In clear weather
one can see both weltmeere from the summit. The volcano was
active last in 1965. An asphalted road leads across Cartago
up to the crater. Starting from San José, approx. 5 hours
(USD$34.00).

Britt Coffee Tour
The coffee boom brought the upswing and the wealth to the
country. Coffee grows particularly well at elevations
between 800 to 1200 meters above sea level and on volcanic
soils. Some of the best coffees in the world are grown
