Corcovado national park (4 days)

 

The Corcovado national park is in the southwest of the Peninsula Osa which covers an area greater than 103,000 acres or 41700 hectares.   Corcovado is considered the richest national park in Costa Rica in regards to the abundant species that can be found. The tropical jungle is controlled by giant trees up to 215 feet or 65 meters.  Growing in the upper canopy are numerous Orchideen and Bromelienarten, as well as Lianen and Mose. In the southwest and southeast are rock cliffs and lonely sand beaches.

Day #1: Journey with bus or airplane to Palmar Norte and/or Palmar Sur. than by taxi to Sierpe. By boat travel on the river of the same name arriving Drake Bay.  Accommodations are on the beach of read Caletas with Palm Roof Cabinas.  A fantastic view on the Pacific Ocean is our reward for the long journey.

Day #2: With an experienced guide, we undertake an all day hike into the rain forest. The various Flora and Fauna will overflow your senses and leave you with a long an unforgettable impression of the green world.  Good footwear, as well as light long trousers are highly recommended.

Day #3: We will travel approximately 15 km by boat to the prehistoric island of Caño escorted often by the Dolphins.  Here we will enjoy some of the best snorkeling in the world.

Day #4: With a boat we drive over the open sea back to the delta of the Río Sierpe and by a graceful Mangrove landscape to the landing place Sierpe. With a taxi it goes far until Palmar Norte and/or Palmar Sur, in order to finally return with bus or airplane to San José.

Entire Package Price = USD$295.00 per person -  Includes: 3 nights accommodations in Caletas, 3 meals per day, entrance into the national park, local guides, bus travel and air passage to San José read - Palmar (and retour), taxi and boat travels.  Number of participants: Min. 2 persons, Max. 6 persons
