Costa Rica has about 3.4 millions inhabitants, which more than half
live in the San José area. The "Ticos", as the locals refer to
themselves, are usually extremely friendly and helpful people.
By far the largest part of the Costa Rician inhabitants are European
descent.
Language
The national language is Spanish and in many hotels and businesses
you will find people who also speak English.
